Daniela
and Luis met during her first
trip to Buenos Aires, in June 2005. What
was supposed to be Luis's last tanda for
the night turned into two hours of dancing
together. The magical connection that
they experienced that night led them to
share their tango paths. Daniela decided
to leave her academic
career to join Luis as his tango partner.
Luis left Buenos Aires to join her in
New York City, where they currently live.
They
started their work together in the show
"Tango Historias" in Warsaw,
Poland, which was also Luiss direction
debut and have now taught and performed
in many cities on the East and West Coast.
They have also
graced the NYC Fashion Week catwalk opening
Tracy Reese's show in September 2006.
Luis and Daniela have quickly gained reknown
for their connection, fluidity and joyful
dance. They are also recognized for their
mastery
in incorporating nuevo tango elements
in close embrace. As teachers, they emphasize
body awareness as the key for creating
the pleasurable communication displayed
in their dance. They enjoy working closely
with students and are praised for being
warm and dynamic.
Luis
Born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, Luis
Bianchi started dancing tango in 1994
and became a professional dancer in 1997.
He studied with several tango masters,
including Los Dinzel, Gabriel Angio and
Natalia Games, Carlos
Rivarola, Geraldine Rojas and Javier Rodriguez,
Osvaldo and Miguel Zotto, Chico Frumboli
and Eugenia Parilla, Pablo Villaraza and

He
has worked extensively as a tango instructor,
trainer, performer and choreographer in
Argentina, Brazil and Europe. In Buenos
Aires, he has taught at several milongas,
including La Catedral, Salon Canning,
Plaza Bohemia and La Divina, and performed
in several tango shows, including participations
at the Festival Cambalache, a show by
Bajofondo Tango Club and the tango house
Portena Mia.
A
background in massage therapy makes Luis
a particularly thorough instructor, who
gives priority to control of the body
and sensitivity over steps.
Daniela
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Daniela Pucci
came to tango from a background in science
and classical piano. Twenty years of experience
with the piano have made her an exceptionally
sensitive and intuitive follower. She
started
dancing in 1999 and has studied with Valencia
Batiuk, Melina Brufman and more extensively
with Mariela Franganillo.
For
three years, Daniela traveled 500 miles
every weekend in order to pursue tango,
while working as an engineering professor.
During those years, she saw her passion
for the dance overtake the passion for
science, until she met Luis and made the
decision to fully devote herself to tango.
